1835 N-11 R4+ Small 8 & Stars PCGS graded AU58, CAC Approved
Attractive glossy light to medium brown blending to light chocolate on the right side of the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only notable defects are a few small areas of minor roughness at the top of the obverse, strongest at the bottom of star 9. There is no verdigris. E-MDS. The die crack on the reverse is strong but the radial extension up from the right top of the U in UNITED to the dentils has not formed. The fields are slightly reflective. Graded EF45 sharpness net EF40 and tied for CC#5 in the Noyes census, his photo #61546. Our grade is VF35+, close to EF40. A very nice example of this tough die variety. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
