1835 C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-62 Red & Brown. Lustrous mint red fading to olive and light steel brown with about 20% of the mint color remaining, mostly on the obverse. Excellent eye appeal. The only marks are a microscopic speck of carbon right of the date and a thin planchet crease or crack on the edge at the first S in STATES (as struck). LDS, Manley state 2.0, showing extensive die clashmarks on both sides. The reverse is rotated 20 degrees CW. Our grade is MS63. The Cohen attribution and Carvin Goodridge provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; the only example graded in RB at PCGS (#35289).
