Jules Cloquet <I>Recollections of the Private Life of General Lafayette</B></I>.</B></I> (London: Baldwin and Cradock, 1835), first edition, 339 pages, illustrated with numerous engravings, original boards, later cloth reinforced spine and new endpapers, 8vo (6" x 9"). This is an early biography of Lafayette. Contains many illustrations of Lafayette's personal possessions including his gold Order of Cincinnatus and personal sword. Good condition. The original boards are well worn, especially along the edges, and the corners are bumped.
