1834 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS67BN.
1834 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS67BN. PCGS graded MS-67 Brown. Large 8, Small Stars, Medium Letters. A satiny gem in every sense of the term. Frosty bluish steel brown with faded mint color showing in protected areas on both sides. Sharply struck with virtually unimpeachable surfaces. A tiny planchet flake hidden in the die rust right of the D in UNITED is the only mark. Sharply struck E-MDS with a fine die crack through the tops of F-AM to the dentils over the adjacent E. Obvious roughness from die rust covers the field around NITED STATES (see the following lot for an example with the die rust polished off the die). Called MS65 choice and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #21564. Bland says MS65 and tied for CC#2. Our grade is MS66. PCGS Population 1; none finer. Estimated Value $5,000-UP. Ex F. C. C.
