1834 N-1 R1 Small 8, Large Stars, Medium Letters, PCGS graded MS64 BrownLustrous medium steel brown with delicate overtones of bluish steel in protected areas. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. A speck of darker olive toning high on the neck, a few microscopic chips on the cheek, and a small rim nick under the wreath stem are the notable marks. MDS, die state c. Both dies are cracked, as always, and the fields are satiny from microscopic die flowlines. Crumbling shows around star 4, strongest between the right points, and the repunching inside the lower half of the C in AMERICA is clear. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-attributed.
7. Mail bids, or phone bids will be accepted up through the day of the sale. Please direct email bids to friscomint@live.com. All bids will be reduced. Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder. 8. Consignors may bid or place a reserve bid on their own coins. Principals of the auction firm may consign and may bid on coins in the sale for themselves or clients.
