<B>(1834) Gulian Verplanck AU58 NGC.</B></I> Low-16, HT-30, R.2. Brass. This well-struck near-Mint State example has no apparent marks. When one looks at the Low-13 to Low-16 series of tokens, it appears that gubernatorial candidates Seward and Verplanck must have been brothers, as the portraits of both look to be the same person.
