<B>1834 $2 1/2 Classic MS61 PCGS.</B></I> McCloskey-A, Breen-6140, Large Head, R.3. A crisply impressed introductory-year type coin with vivacious luster throughout the borders and devices. Gold coins were reduced in weight (i.e. devalued) beginning with the Classic types, which enabled examples to remain in circulation.
