1833 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS66BN. PCGS graded MS-66 Brown. Highly lustrous bluish steel and chocolate brown with traces of faded mint color peeking through in protected areas on the obverse. The surfaces are satiny and exceptionally attractive in spite of a few trivial marks. A small spot of slightly darker toning in the field under star 12 and darker toning on the berry right of the T in CENT are the only marks visible without a strong glass. LDS with a small cud break filling the space between the two die cracks through the bottom of the N in UNITED. The fields on both sides are smooth in this die state thanks to a fresh die lapping that removed nearly all the roughness except for traces connecting stars 3-5. Called MS65 choice and tied for CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #28846. Bland says MS60+ and tied for CC#4. Our grade is MS64. PCGS Population 1; none finer. Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
