1833<10C> Last 3 High JR-7, R.5. Reiver state b. AU58 NGC. Mostly brilliant surfaces with just a hint of gold at the obverse rim. Original mint luster still survives in the fields especially on the reverse. Virtually all design features are boldly defined including the obverse stars, Liberty's hair curls and drapery, and the eagle's feathers and claws. A dark streak beneath the left wing continues right into the eagle and shield and this hallmarks the coin. This is a later die state example with a minor die crack to the top of Liberty's cap from the rim above, and on the reverse the die crack to the A in STATES is sharp. Certainly within the Condition Census behind a couple of mint state coins which have turned up in the past few decades, and a very impressive coin to represent this variety.
Ex: Coin Galleries (February 1991). Envelope Included.
