1833<1/2 C> C-1, B-1, R.1. Die State 2--Lacquered--NCS. Unc Details. MS60 EAC. Large date, small stars; High leaf left of center below S. This is the die state most often seen with heavy clash marks inside the wreath, especially to the left, and light clash marks on the obverse. Sharply detailed with splendid dark olive surfaces. A little bright on the devices, a result of the lacquer coating on this coin, which, by the way, could be easily removed. The Bareford envelope indicates that the previous owners of this coin considered it a Gem Proof example. Breen Die State VI.
Ex: T. James Clarke (Abe Kosoff, 4/1956), lot 465; Harold Bareford; William Bareford (5/25/1984). Envelope Included.
