Scratched. In spite of the minor problems, a lustrous early quarter eagle with the same low mintage as others in the 1829-34 "reduced size" design by John Reich as modified by William Kneass. The head of Liberty was very slightly modified for this coinage issue of 1832, giving her a slightly stronger, more matronly appearance. 4,400 circulation strikes were minted along with a small number of Proofs.
