1832<10C> JR-2, R.2. Reiver state b. XF45 NGC. Mottled gold and gray toning and slightly dull. Most design features are sharp except the dentils which are softly defined as is characteristic for the variety. Identifiable by a sharp scrape on the lower right side of the shield. Magnification reveals a few tiny die cracks that were not mentioned by the authors of the John Reich dime book. On the obverse a crack extends from the rim through star twelve to Liberty's curl. Another extends from the tip of the central talon of the right claw to the top of the serif in the C in the denomination. There is a crack that runs from the tip of the right wing to the shaft of the uppermost arrow. Two other cracks are seen at the top of the final A in AMERICA; one touches the topmost arrowhead, and the other extends to a dentil.
Ex: Stack's (August 1989). Envelope Included.
