1831 N-11 R2 Medium Letters, PCGS graded MS63 BrownFrosty light tan faded down from mint color with steel brown on the highpoints. Mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has very nice eye appeal. The only distractions are a couple puffs of darker toning before the neck and chin plus similar toning at UNITED and the second A in AMERICA. Looks mint state but there is a light touch of friction on the highest points of the portrait. Terminal die state, state g. The cud break at TES is complete with the top of stat S filled, and there is a small rim cud connecting three dentils at star 2. Graded AU55 net AU50 and tied for CC#12 overall but second finest of the terminal die state in the Noyes census, his photo #69540. Our grade is AU55. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-attributed.
7. Mail bids, or phone bids will be accepted up through the day of the sale. Please direct email bids to friscomint@live.com. All bids will be reduced. Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder. Bidding will proceed as competition dictates with the lot either selling to the floor or to the mail/web bidder at one increment above the second highest bid. Please see contact information below.
8. Consignors may bid or place a reserve bid on their own coins. Principals of the auction firm may consign and may bid on coins in the sale for themselves or clients.
