<B>1831 H10C MS65 NGC.</B></I> V-3, LM-7, R.2. Among the more plentiful die marriages of the 1831 half dime, attributed by repunching on star 3, and the letters MERI of AMERICA touching at their base. The present Gem is certainly among the more visually impressive survivors. Rich sea-green and reddish-apricot colors are splashed over both sides in an irregular manner. There are some areas of near-brilliance intermingled on the reverse, but bothersome striking incompleteness is absent.
