1831 50C MS62 NGC. O-115, R.4. This piece is considered the second finest known of the variety, and one of just three or four Mint State examples thought to exist. In Stephen Herrman's auction records, three pieces graded MS62 have been offered for sale over the past dozen years, the most recent of those over six years ago. No finer grade pieces appear in his listings, although the NGC Census lists a single MS63 coin for this Overton number. Both sides of this important specimen display deep champagne toning on frosty silver surfaces. A few trivial surfaces marks and slightly subdued luster prevent a higher grade.
From The Westmoreland, Virginia Collection, Part Two.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
