Very attractive glossy medium brown and chocolate with frosty lighter brown toning in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and free of contact marks. A small spot of darker olive brown toning in the field off the chin is the best identifying mark. Frosty flowline luster shows in the protected areas, and the attractive surfaces suggest a higher grade, especially on the reverse where flowline luster abounds. However, the strike is typical of the variety, with weakness on the stars, along the top of the head, and along the bottom of the wreath. If grading by color and surfaces alone, this cent would rate a grade of EF40, but an EAC grade of VF30 choice is appropriate. MDS.
