1829 C-1 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown
1829 C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Glossy light to medium brown with darker steel brown toning on the highest points. Very close to mint state, and it has mint state eye appeal, but there is a tiny rim bruise left of the first S in STATES. Otherwise the only mark is a microscopic pinprick on the right side of the D in UNITED. LDS, Manley state 2.0. The fields show fine radial die flowlines and the star tips are drawn to the rim. Our grade is AU58. The attribution and Carvin Goodridge provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 in 64BN, 1 in 64+ BN (#35267).
Estimated Value $500-UP.

Provenance: Ex Loye L. Lauder collection, William Doyle Galleries 12/15/1983:279 (lot ticket included).
