<B>1828 50C Square Base 2, Small 8, Large Letters MS65 NGC.</B></I> O-115, R.2. Both sides of this coin exhibit an exactness of strike that is often absent on half dollars of this type. Not only are the denticles crisp and even from an expertly centered impression, but the peripheral and central devices are equally sharp with essentially full definition. The untoned surfaces allow rich mint luster to shine forth at all angles. There is not a single noteworthy abrasion, but accuracy compels us to mention a faint grease stain (as struck) on the obverse at star 10 and another, equally hard to discern near 7 o'clock on the reverse border.
