1827 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS65BN. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. Highly lustrous bluish steel and light chocolate brown with faded mint color covering the protected areas on the reverse. The fields are satiny and the eye appeal is excellent. The notable marks are a closely spaced pair of extremely faint hairlines slanting across the cheek to the neck just below the earlobe and a couple small wisps of darker toning on both sides. Late die state with dentil crumbling at the bottom of the reverse from CA clockwise to under the end of the ribbon. Sharply struck with full radial lines in all the stars. Called MS63 and tied for CC#1 honors in both the Noyes and Bland census lists, Noyes photo #20795. Our grade is MS63. PCGS Population 1; none finer. Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
