1827 N-1 R2 PCGS graded MS64 BrownLustrous bluish steel and light chocolate brown with subtle hints of faded mint color in a few protected areas. There are a few tiny specks of darker toning at stars 5-8, tiny ticks left of star 12, and microscopic planchet chips around the weakly struck E in CENT (pre-striking planchet imperfections). E-MDS, die state a, with multiple fine die clashmarks inside the wreath but no crumbling at the dentils between stars 5-6. Nicely struck except for stars 5-7, the hair along the top of the head, and at the aforementioned E in CENT. Noyes says AU50 and tied for CC#3, his photo #20768. Our grade is MS60.Certificate Number: 36838.64/13094624Pedigree: Ex T. James Clarke, Abe Kosoff 4/21/1956:214-Dr. James O. Sloss, Abe Kosoff 10/21/1959:164-Dr. Kenneth J. Sartoris-Del Bland-Jerry A.
