1826 N-3 R3 MS63. MS-63. Highly lustrous light bluish steel brown with faded mint color showing through in some of the protected areas. The surfaces are covered with satiny mint frost that extends to the highest points of the design. The only defects on an otherwise flawless gem cent are a light hairline scratch up from the upper right point of star 2 and a small collection of tiny pinscratches (possibly added in a misguided attempt to remove a spot or some other defect) right of the bottom of the D in UNITED. MDS with minor dentil fusing over star 6. The reverse center dot is tiny but clear. Called MS65 and CC#1 in the Bland census. Noyes says MS60 and tied for CC#2, his photo #20750. PCGS Population 1; none finer. Estimated Value $3,000-UP. Ex B. H. Collins-B. Max Mehl personal collection-T. James Clarke 10/54. Our item number 137240 "
