<B>1826 Erie Canal Completion, HK-1, VF30 NGC.</B></I> White metal, listed as "extremely rare" in Hibler-Kappen (1963) .Issued by Common Council, City of New York: designed by Archibald Robertson; engraved by Charles Cushing Wright, "first die-sinker in the country"; struck by Maltby Pedetreau. Some grayish patina cedes to silver at the rims.
