While identified as O-104a on the holder, we can find no evidence of the reverse die crack that is required for the late die state. Intense aqua-blue and gold toning over the entire obverse, with the gold relegated to the left side, the blue and rose-gold on the right, with splashes also found around the periphery. The toning is more organized on the reverse, but with the same color palette. On the secondary side, we note intense sunset-gold predominating with bright sky blue and rose capturing the peripheral realm. Such rainbow toning is always a delight to see, and adds greatly to even the most circulated silver coin. Toning of this intensity combined with strong luster and coupled with a Gem coin make for quite a numismatic treat. Examination of the surfaces will find a couple of tiny neck nicks on Liberty. Fairly well struck for the die pairing and a wonderful piece of eye candy to treat any numismatist. This is the only MS65 1826 half dollar certified by NGC (12/06).
From The Rocky Top Collection of Bust Half Dollars.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
