<B>1826 50C MS64 NGC.</B></I> O-106a, R.3. A hair curl penetrates the base of L in LIBERTY, and the R in AMERICA shows a double left serif. Reverse die cracks confirm the later die state. This is a really lovely near-Gem. The design elements are well struck, save for weakness on a few of the obverse stars and along the upper edges of the eagle's wings. Highly lustrous and essentially untoned; there are very few marks on either side.
