1825 10C MS65 PCGS.
1825 10C MS65 PCGS.<p>Ex: Eliasberg. JR-1, R.4. Sharply struck over all features save for star 6 on the obverse, this is a semi-prooflike Gem with a modest glow in the fields. Both sides are bathed in rich, original, lavender-copper and olive toning with brighter undertones evident at certain angles. There are no abrasions of note, but a hairline reverse die crack (as struck) through the bases of the ICA in AMERICA and some die rust (also as produced) in the reverse field below the eagle's beak are noted. In his May 1996 sale of Eliasberg's Capped Bust Dimes, Bowers states that the present coin is either the finest or second finest known example of JR-1. PCGS reports only five 1825 Dimes of all die varieties in grades at or above the MS65 level (5/02). Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
