1825<10C> JR-1, R.4. Reiver state b. AU58 NGC. Much luster still survives. Predominantly brilliant surfaces with a touch of gold and blue peripherally. The majority of design features are sharp save for a few of the obverse stars which lack their central radial points. Clean surfaces for the grade, with no distracting nicks or scratches present. The die states of both the obverse and reverse are advanced, a factor that probably accounts for the rarity of the die combination. On the obverse the rim has crumbled between the third and sixth stars with a portion reaching to the outer point of the fifth star. On the reverse a die crack crosses the three arrowheads and the letter C in the denomination. A decidedly scarce variety and the present coin is certainly within the Condition Census and may be near the top of those known behind a Gem example and four AU coins reported in the most recent JRCS Census.
Ex: No pedigree information included. Envelope Included.
