1824<50C> MS64 PCGS. O-108, R.2. Attributed by the proximity of obverse star 7 to the milling. Well struck and intensely lustrous, with a lavish coating of beautiful, original toning over the obverse that includes shades of golden-brown, cobalt-blue, and magenta. The reverse is bright and untoned in the center, with a slight band of pleasing peripheral coloration. A rough mark over the UR in PLURIBUS appears to be of mint origin, and no distracting post-strike abrasions are evident on either side of the coin. A lovely and technically impressive near-Gem example of this Overton variety.
