1823 50C MS64 PCGS. O-112, R.1. This is the "tall 3" variety, with the 3 in the date well formed and taller than the 2. The 23 is larger and lower than the 18. On the reverse, the first line of stripe six extends upward to the fourth crossbar. Lustrous surfaces display light gold center toning that yields to slivers of cobalt-blue, lavender, and golden-brown at the margins. A few light handling marks help to define the grade. A solid strike brings out virtual completeness on the design elements. Population: 35 in 64, 6 finer (12/07).

Coin Engraver: John Reich

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
