1819 N-8 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Red & BrownFrosty mint red mellowing to steel brown, at least half the mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse. The steel toning is more dominant in the field just right of the lower curl and right of stars 3-4, and there is a small spot of darker toning touching the nose at the eye and another close over star 5. The surfaces are lustrous and this cent has excellent eye appeal in spite of the minor spots. M-LDS, die state b, with weakened dentils and fine die flowlines on both sides. The earlier die lines joining the bases of TE in UNITED and AT in STATES are gone. Called MS61 and tied for CC#5 in the Noyes census, photo #21704. Our grade is MS63+, close to MS64.Certificate Number: 36650.64/13094644Pedigree: Ex C. David Pierce-T. James Clarke-Dr. James O. Sloss 9/1958-R. E.
