1818 N-9 R3 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved
Frosty medium steel brown with traces of mint red in protected areas on both sides. Mint luster covers this cent and the eye appeal is excellent in spite of a thin layer of natural oxidation. Just a few microscopic marks including some tiny ticks high on the cheek, a small spot of planchet roughness at the dentils just right of the date, and a small swipe of darker toning close under the hair bun. E-MDS with clear dentils on both sides and a light die crack through the top of MER. A very nice example of this die variety, clearly in the condition census. Our grade is MS60+, close to MS62. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
