1818 N-7 R1 PCGS graded MS66BN.
1818 N-7 R1 PCGS graded MS66BN. PCGS graded MS-66 Brown. The obverse is a highly lustrous light bluish steel brown with hints of underlying very faded mint color peeking through the attractive toning. The reverse is lustrous light to medium brown with wisps of darker olive and steel under CENT and at ITED-ST. There is a faint diagonal hairline scratch skipping through the second 8 and stars 13-12, plus a speck of very fine carbon near the dentils right of the D in UNITED. The MS66 grade assigned by PCGS attests to the excellent eye appeal offered by this cent in spite of the uneven toning on the reverse and the few minor distractions. MDS with a die crack connecting stars 6 & 7 but without the small cud break that connects the O in OF to the rim above. Called MS60 and tied for CC#6 in the Noyes census, his photo #21246. Our grade is MS62+. PCGS Population 1; none finer. Estimated Value $500-UP. Ex Ray Gallo (via Abner) 11/60. Our item nu mber 137168 "
