1818 N-7 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved
Lustrous medium steel brown with generous traces of mint red remaining visible on the obverse. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Just a few small marks including a tiny planchet chip on the chin and a couple light contact marks right of the chip. The reverse is flawless. LDS with a small cud break at the top of the O in OF. The cud is shallow and may be a retained version of the terminal cud break. A very nice cent, CC#4 for the variety but finest of those known with the cud break in the Noyes census, his photo #21616. Our grade is MS62+. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
