<B>1818/7 50C Large 8 MS65 NGC.</B></I> O-101a, R.1. Ex: Eliasberg. One of two overdates from this year, each of which is distinct and collectible, one with a large first 8 in the date and the other (O-102) with a small first 8. As expected from this die state, extended die cracks are seen on each side. This piece is listed in Stephen Herrman's <I>Prices Realized for Bust Half Dollars </B></I>as the finest known. The surfaces are lustrous and the blue-gray patina is accented with deep golden around the devices. Sharply struck in all areas except on the upper left (facing) wing, as indicated in the Eliasberg catalog.<BR><I>Ex: George H. Earle Collection (Henry Chapman, June 25-29, 1912); John H.
