<B>1818 25C MS65 NGC.</B></I> B-4, R.2. This needle-sharp Gem offers delicate golden-brown and cream-gray toning. Luster bathes the generally smooth surfaces. The reverse, on its own merits, is nearly pristine. The obverse is also smooth, as befits the grade, with the exception of moderate marks near the chin and on the cheek. Struck from multiply clashed dies, and bold die cracks bisect the portrait and pass through Liberty's shoulder and the D in UNITED. Aside from its dramatic die cracks, B-4 can be identified by the UNIT in UNITED, which are very close at the tops of the letters.
