Glossy medium brown with a subtle splash of slightly darker olive brown and steel toning on the obverse. Frosty golden tan faded down from mint color shows in protected areas on the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and there are only a few minor contact marks including a faint diagonal hairline scratch off the lower right point of star 6 and a long, thin nick above star 12. The reverse is choice. MDS, Grellman state d, with a bold connection between the tops of the 1 & 7 in the date in addition to the earlier cracks on the obverse. The devices on the right side of the obverse and opposing right side of the reverse are not fully struck, as always on this variety, because the dies were not in perfect axial alignment (the die faces were not perfectly parallel). A variety that is difficult to find in higher grades. Our grade is EF40. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
