1815/2 50C XF40 PCGS. O-101, R.2. There are 1815 halves and then there are attractive 1815 halves. The current coin falls well within the latter category, with light gray coloration on the raised devices framed by a rich, medium gunmetal tone elsewhere. When rotated slightly the obverse displays a steel-blue hue. Clash marks are noted on the lightly toned reverse. The combined demand for 1815 halves by type, date and variety collectors has dwindled the available supply of original, problem-free examples in recent years. Worthy of a premium bid.

Coin Engraver: John Reich

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
