The more elusive of the two varieties, distinguished by a first S in STATES that is nearly aligned with the E of E PLURIBUS UNUM on the ribbon below. This still-lustrous piece has surfaces that range from yellow-gold to sunset orange and just a hint of wear on the highpoints. Well-defined with few marks overall, though a significant scrape is noted in the right obverse field.
