<B>1812 $5 MS61 NGC.</B></I> Narrow 5D, Breen-6465, BD-2, R.4. Only one obverse die was used for the two varieties of this date. The two reverses are easily distinguished by examining the relative position of "5 D" near the lower rim. This example is lustrous and displays alluring chartreuse coloration over both sides. The design elements are generally well struck, although LIBERTY and the A in STATES are somewhat weakly impressed. Die rust is noted in the left obverse field, but post-striking marks seem minor for the grade.
