1811 50C Small 8 MS64 NGC.
1811 50C Small 8 MS64 NGC. O-105, R.4. O-105a has lengthy die cracks across the reverse border and is relatively common. However, O-105 is quite scarce and does not have these cracks. O-105 marks the only appearance of this curious reverse die, which has TE in states joined at the top and a horizontal line from the shield that extends far into the eagle's right (facing) wing. Well struck in the centers, although the stars are generally flat. Luster percolates through the rich golden-brown, rose, sky-blue and olive patina. There are no abrasions readily apparent beneath the original toning. Probably within the Condition Census for the variety, which Parsley (1990) terminates at MS60. The finest by three grades among the three examples certified as O-105 by NGC, although Eliasberg's O-105a is graded MS66 by NGC. Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
