1810<50C> MS62 NGC. O-107a, R.4. Numerous die fractures cover both sides of this lovely, toned, fully Mint State coin. A heavy crack runs from the second 1 in the date upward into the drapery. Another crack runs from the end of the bust to join stars one through five. On the reverse a crack runs from the I in AMERICA, through the eagle and the olive leaves, and into the base of UNITED. A crack runs diagonally down from TA through the scroll to its right (facing) end. The coin has lilac-gray centers with aqua borders. The strike is bold, with all star centrils full and good detailing on Liberty's hair and the eagle's highpoints. Both dies are eroded, the reverse more so than the obverse. A highly appealing coin that would make a worthy addition to a type set or a set of Mint State Bust halves. NGC's Census Report enumerates this single example of the O-107a in MS62, with none graded higher (10/05). Envelope Included.
