1809 50C MS62 PCGS. O-115a, R.3. Most easily attributed by the multiple die cracks on the obverse, lack of milling on the reverse, and multiple clash marks on the reverse. While we do not know of a reliable Condition Census for this variety, if one were to give any credence to Overton's 1970 Condition Census, it appears that several of the better-graded coins at that time were AU. This is a bright, lustrous Mint State example. The surfaces are mostly brilliant with just a touch of deeper gray patina over the highpoints. A bit irregularly struck.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
