<B><I>A Digest of the Civil Laws Now in Force in the Territory of Orleans with Alterations and Amendments Adapted to its Present System of Government</B></I></B></I> (New Orleans: Bradford & Anderson, 1808), 491 pages, original boards with a poorly repaired cloth spine, 4to (7.5" x 11"). Printed parallel in English and French. The book is generally in fair condition with liberal amounts of worm damage to the pages throughout the book. The spine is broken and the boards are chipped and worn at the extremities. There are old repairs to the inside front and back hinges. The pages are uniformly aged toned and the preliminary pages are significantly foxed. The name of the original owner "<I>Roger Mennier</B></I>" is handwritten at the bottom of the title page.
