In fact, there are probably not more than a couple examples of the variety in similar quality, including the Harry Bass specimen that was retained by the Bass Foundation. This is a sharply struck and highly lustrous example with frosty surfaces and light greenish-gold color. Only a few slight abrasions in the fields keep this from Gem quality and probable finest known status. Even the PCGS population data, which consider all varieties of a given issue, suggest that only one finer example has been certified. An extremely important opportunity that should not be missed. This example is well suited for a type set, date set, or advanced variety collection.
