1807 C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Lustrous medium brown and steel with faint hints of faded mint red remaining in protected areas on the obverse. There is a thin planchet crease on the edge outside UNI (as struck) and a small spot of darker brown toning on the left foot of the T in UNITED. The obverse is choice while the reverse shows numerous microscopic ticks around the top of the wreath, but it takes a strong glass to see any of them. LDS, Manley state 3.0. This is the plate coin for that die state in the Manley book. Our grade is consistent with the slab grade. The attribution and Carvin Goodridge provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; the finest of the variety graded (#35203).
