1807 $5 Bust Right MS60 NGC. Small Date, Small Obverse Stars, Large Reverse Stars, Breen-6450, BD-3, High R.5. The lowest curl tip is above the 1, while on the reverse the last A is near the claw. Light green-gold surfaces show myriad small abrasions, ticks, and pinscratches under a loupe, none of them worthy of singular mention. Extensive clash marks are seen on both sides, along with considerable luster. Some planchet roughness shows on the neck, and light adjustment marks near the obverse rim at 5 o'clock. On the reverse opposite those adjustments marks, there is an unstruck area through OF where the reduced-diameter planchet (caused by the adjustment) failed to strike up properly. Despite the numerous Mint-caused conditions, there is strictly no trace of rub, and this piece is interesting from the perspective of the state of the art at the early Mint.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
