This Pennepack School Lottery was authorized by the State of Pennsylvania, and drawn at Philadelphia on January 1, 1806. This beautiful condition Uncut Sheet has Six unused Lottery Tickets with their stubs intact. Each having ornately engraved borders, measures 6.5" x 14.5.” During the early 18th and 19th centuries, such lotteries were employed to raise money for the building or repairing churches, schools, streets, canals, bridges and other public improvement projects.
