1806 C-4 R1 Large 6 with Stems PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown
1806 C-4 R1 Large 6 with Stems. PCGS graded MS-64 Red & Brown. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown and chocolate with at least 20% of the original mint color remaining. No spots or stains. The only defects are a rim nick over the T in UNITED and a thin scrape down the L in HALF. Great eye appeal. EDS, Manley state 1.0, with the reverse rotated 20 degrees CW. The repunching on the 6 is sharp. The upper leaves of the wreath are not fully impressed, but the strike is above average for the variety. A premium example of the type. Our grade is MS63. The attribution and Carvin Goodridge provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; the only RB example graded for the variety (#35201).
Estimated Value $3,500-UP.

Provenance: Ex Gordon Harris (bourse dealer) 9/28/1984.
