1806 C-2 R4 Small 6 with Stems PCGS graded AU50
Glossy light olive and medium brown on the obverse with olive brown toning on the reverse. Sharply struck with just a light touch of friction on the highpoints, but there are microscopic hairlines in the fields. A diagonal struck-through line under the right foot of the N in CENT (caused by a small piece of thread or wire on the die) can help identify this piece. MDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 2, with die clashmarks at RT in LIBERTY but no die cracks. There is a shallow low spot under CEN and another under the R in AMERICA, both caused by debris/lubricant on the die. Our grade is net EF45. A nice example of the Small 6 with Stems type. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
