1806 50C Pointed 6, Stem AU58 PCGS. O-115a, R.2. A textbook example of this later die state with heavy die cracks on the left side of the obverse, and a definite crack at the top of STATES. The crack down to UNITED has not been seen, even though it is mentioned in the Overton reference.
A significant amount of mint luster underlies the rich toning that covers each side. The central portions are gray-rose, while the margins are deep blue. A bit softly struck in the usual places, as one would expect from this much-used die pairing. Close to Condition Census quality, this piece has eye appeal that transcends that of many pieces that are technically graded Mint State.
Haseltine-15, Beistle 3b-Ea, Overton-30, PCGS # 39318, Encyclopedia-4591.
From The Westmoreland County Collection of Early Bust Halves, 1794-1807.

Coin Engraver: Robert Scot

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
