<B>1806/5 50C AU55 PCGS.</B></I> O-104a, R.4. This intermediate die state of the O-104 shows advanced cracks from star 13 to the bust and then from the bust to the rim below. The reverse has light cracks from the top and bottom of E to D, and left of the U. The crack from the eagle's right (facing) wing through the tops of AMER is noticeably stronger than on the earlier-intermediate state of 104a. These cracks are rendered all the more visible by the high grade of the coin, and are essentially unaffected by any of the effects of wear that might obscure lower-grade pieces. <BR> The coin is bright and completely devoid of any trace of toning. Most of the mint luster remains on the reverse and surrounds LIBERTY and the stars on the obverse. Well struck in the centers, except for the usual weakness on the eagle's head and upper reverse stars.
